Woke up at 8:40 A.M.

Headed to a new church this morning...this time the Methodist church here in town.  And the Sunday School class was top-notch.  One of the best I have ever been to in my life.  The teacher has a passion for the historical background material, and just knowing that part really makes the Scriptures come alive.  I loved the class!  I was by far the youngest, but that really didn't bother me.  I just crave good teaching!

BUT...the church service was terrible.  I mean painful.  And I hate saying that...I realize that it is God's Church, I do.  But I was falling asleep, I was bored out of my mind, I was singing faster (but sloooooow) than the organ and other people.  And I was saying words that just frustrated the daylights out of me...

"We ask of ye forgiveness for our manifold sins and transgressions."

C'mon now!  Oh, that just rubs me raw.  Who talks like that?  This is 2008, folks.  C'mon!  Is there church talk?  And then outside church talk?  I was so frustrated with yet another dismal service.

Enjoyed the beautiful weather this afternoon.  Went for a flight with Van.  More maneuvers in the twin.  Spent 1.1 hours flying.  It was so ridiculously calm up there today!  77 degrees and no wind!  Just gettin' ready for the check-ride.  We tried doing Vmc demonstrations today, but the plane was not wantin' to stall!  We also did several other maneuvers...scheduled the check-ride for next Sunday...

Went to a coffee house tonight about 6-ish.  They had a baccalaureate service there...stayed there until 9 or so...then headed back to the airport.  I was pretty tired.

Ended up goin' to bed at 9:30 P.M.  Oh so delicious!
