Woke up at 11:00 A.M.
Went over and had some ground school with Van at the FBO. We went over all the in's and out's of the Twin Comanche. Really, it's nothin' too difficult...just some more stuff to memorize and prepare for. And I think it will be a bit easier when I'm in the airplane, too. Just seein' somethin' on paper doesn't always do the trick!
But there have been a couple of comments made by Van and some other pilots about twin-engine airplanes, in general. More or less, you don't be afraid of them. But you fear them. I've picked up on a few comments here and there...and frankly, the planes can kill you very easily! haha...that's a nice way of puttin' it. Of course, any single-engine plane can kill you, too, but they are a bit more forgiving (usually). The twins have speeds and maneuvers that you just don't do. Ya just might not live to tell about it.
So that's exciting.
It's crazy cold today. Not fun. I very much dislike cold weather. And I very much dislike even more the hot then cold then hot stuff we got goin' on. Gimme spring, and keep it spring!
Studied a bit out of the Fundamentals of Instructing Handbook. Easily the worst book ever created for pilots. It's mind-numbing. I could only handle one chapter...then I had to put it away.
Filled out some more online logbook stuff. Hopefully I'll have that up and runnin' soon enough...it's a pain in the butt to start from the very beginning and go all the way through it. But I'm gettin' there...
Went out to eat at Subway tonight. In Wal-Mart. Headed over there with Jesse and Travis. They stayed in for the night, but I headed out. Shot some pool at Boondock's...
Went to bed at 1:30 A.M.
