Woke up at 10:20 A.M.

More rain today.  Quite a bit more rain this morning.  The living quarters has several leaks.  I went up in the attic to see if I could fix any of 'em, but they are comin' through where the tin roof lays over itself.  Not an easy fix.  So we just watched the water drop in the buckets.

No flying today.  It's only been a few days, but it feels like forever since I've been up!

Talked with Van and Jyri this afternoon...shot the breeze about what we all believe...about church, about Christianity, the whole bit.  Kinda fun.  Not much else to do when you're boxed in.

I spent a couple hours today studying...I'm now up to 78% of the questions answered for the IFR test.  Goin' to try to hit 90% tomorrow.

I made a comment today to Van about studyin' for stuff I'm not soon goin' to use...the weather at 40,000 feet, the airspeed limit of 200 knots, etc.  He made a comment right back to me..."Don't study for where you're at.  Study for where you want to be."

That's a good way of puttin' it.  It stuck with me.  I'm flyin' Cherokees and Cessna's right now.  But in a few months, I could very well be behind the controls of a jet.  "...where you want to be."  Somethin' to think about...

Jarryd and I are lookin' to take the Piper Cherokee for the Easter weekend...over to St. Louis and Camdenton, Missouri.  We're goin' to see our families...that should be fun.

Spent a couple hours tonight playin' pool.  Again!  Megan came over to the hangar to visit, then we hit the town.  Jarryd and Jyri tagged along.  It's nice to get out every once in awhile!

Pretty simple day.  It's nice to have study time, but flight time is good, too!!!  We're all itchin' to get back up.

The FAA was here today.  That's a whole other story.  We'll see how that all turns out.
