Woke up at 9:30 A.M. I was more than ready for the day! I still can't say enough for GOOD sleep! woo hoo!
I spent most of the morning watching King videos. As of this morning, I was 40% done with the videos. It's hard to believe, because I have already watched hours of them! But with this written test lingering over my head, I want nothing more than to get it out of the way!
After studying, I spent some time talkin' with Gavin over at the hangar. He had been workin' on the Cessna 172, and as of this afternoon, it is now ready to go! Alan took it out for a test flight. Time to add another airplane to the fleet! We now have a low-wing Piper Cherokee, low-wing Twin Commanche, and high-wing Cessna 172, all ready for use! Fun stuff.
I spent quite a bit of time lookin' for motorcycles again today. I would study for an hour, take a few off, study for an hour, take a few off...kind of a nice routine. I didn't fly again today, but I already knew it was goin' to be like that anyway (Jarryd, Van, and Jyri had to head over to Wichita in the twin to get Jyri's papers all lined up with the FAA). So today was a big study day. I think the questions are stickin' with me, but there are soooo many! But lookin' for motorcycles provided a GREAT relief.
Did another round of laundry...this time with Jyri. It was his first experience at a laundro-mat, so I was more than happy to tag along and do some of my own. How happy I was to have found a dryer with 21 unused minutes! Very nice, very nice.
I was cravin' hamburgers tonight, so I stopped by the grocery store on the way home and bought some fresh ground chuck. I made myself three burgers, ate 'em all, and put the left-over raw meat in the refrigerator for tomorrow. More burgers. It never gets old for me!
Studied some more tonight. I am now over the 50% mark. I have answered 462 out of the 921 questions I am responsible for. Yeah, how about that...the Instrument Written Exam has 60 questions...from a question base of 921. Needless to say, you have to know A TON of information. You don't know which random questions you will get, so you better know your weather, instrument approaches, departures, arrivals, FAR/AIM information, instruments, navigation, and on and on. It's VERY comprehensive.
As Jarryd and I say to each other, we willingly jumped into a life of studying for finals. Some days you ask yourself why in the world you would ever do that, but then a King Air comes flying in, and all of a sudden, it makes complete sense. We get to fly for a living. And friends, that just can't be beat.
Went for a rather short run tonight. Then watched a movie with Van and Jyri around 10-ish. Van and Jarryd fly out at 6:00 A.M. tomorrow morning. Jarryd is goin' after his twin commercial rating at 8:00 A.M. up north. This is what he came here for...the big 250-hour twin rating. I'm pretty excited for him...go get 'em, bro!
Not scheduled to fly tomorrow...it will be another study day. I'm shootin' to knock out another 100 questions. We're supposed to get some rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon anyway...
Went to bed a lil' after 2:00 A.M.
